Research Process
so far i'm doing well with my research.i've finished the introduction and the first part but the rest sections are more difficult . one of the problems is the books and articals that i found before seem to be too academic. i 'm worrying about how to make all my classmates understand the e-business concept. yesterday i went to the library and found some new books which were more practical, such as "how to make money with ebay and yahoo", so i think i'm gonna change my plan and focus on the new materials. no doubt, it would cost me more time and i may need to revise what i've already written. :(

My Reading Literacy
first i should say thanks to my mother, because she was the one who led me into the world of reading and encouraged me to keep reading during all this years.
my mother was a teacher who taught Chinese in middle school, and she likes reading very much. when i was like 3 years old, she taught me some Chinese poems. children usually have very good memory, so i was able to remeber those sentences although i understood nothing about the poem. thereafter, my mother asked me to resite those poems at different circumerstanses. and i got praise from others, which makes me very proud of my little skills. and the next time when my mother taught me a new poem, i was very interested in learning.
Then, i grew up , went to school, and could read simple contents by myself. i found a lot of reading in class are familar to me beacuse i had learned them at home already. as a result, i always got good marks, which encourages me to read more and more in advance.
Gradually, i develp my reading literacy and find reading is very interesting and useful. it helps me to know other's lives, to get different information and to have more topics to share with my friends.

From "Improving Academic Performance"
Thank you Lili for giving us this great artical. it is very helpful for us to improve our study skills.
I like the idea of setting up a schedule for studying. actually i make plans not only for studying but also for other things, such as traveling, shopping, cooking, housekeeping and so on. life is a multitask job, if we don't know how to manage our time and give things an order our lives would be a mess. everytime when i'm preparing a trip, i'll do a lot of research ,check out the local weather forecast, search information of the local visitor center on line, and visit special BBS to find recommended restaurants, hotels, must-see sites...... after that, i'll write all the information down and make a detailed travel plan. of course, i know life is full of surprise, so my travel schedule is tentative, and sometimes i even have my plan-B. but for study, when we set up a schedule, we should follow it without unnecessary change since everyday we learn new stuffs and have new assignments , a small delay might accumulate to a "mission impossible". on the other hand, setting up a schedule makes rowarding ourselves easier. at the moment of checking out the tasks that we have completed from the schedule we visually realize our accomplishment . and this brings us a successful feeling which encourage us doing better.
another idea impressed me is "practice makes perfect". i totally agree with it. sometimes i think i have mastered a new skill very well, but during practice, i find there's a lot to improve. furthermore, the more i practise, the better i perform while the less mistake i make. for example, rehearsal at home before giving a public presentation is always helpful. in my own experience, not only language learning, practice works for any subjects.

About the Lecture
Today's lecture is about the communication patterns of male and female.
In the beginning, the lecture touched the culture difference. i guess north america is the most equal place in the world and english is the most equal language. for example, in china, calling teacher or parents by their names is very unpolite and unacceptable. but here, it's quite normal and actually i know teachers don't want to be called as Mr.*/Mrs.*. so culture does effect language.
Talking about the communication difference between male and female, i agree with most of the contents, but i don't think women willing to put themselves down, especially the educated women. and i just noticed from the slices that research of the TV debates was conducted at least 10 years ago. so i am thinking that maybe we could get another conclusion if we do the same research today.
At last, i want to say something about the lecturer, Scott( i hope the spelling is correct^_^). he really did a great job. The main ideas are presented very clear, and many interesting examples were given as well. besides, Scott knows the audients very well so he always explained those words and expressions that he thought we might not konw in advance. it really helped me to understand the lecture better.

My Research Topic:E-commerce
a short intro. to my topic.
“Electronic Commerce (also referred to as EC, e-commerce or ecommerce) consists primarily of the distributing, buying, selling, marketing, and servicing of products or services over electronic system such as the Internet and other computer networks.”(wikipidea)
Since 1970 the meaning of e-commerce changes gradually. Nowadays, e-commerce not only presents the processes of business activities on a network but also contains information analysis systems such as ERP (enterprise resource planning system) or data warehousing, and many supporting middleware and management software.
The business model of e-commerce could be B2B(business to business) or B2C(business to customer).
